Secretary Message

In the modern day education we find an utter lack of value education. No attempt is made to uplift the moral and spiritual values of the students. In fact, there has been a tremendous deterioration of values in education owing to its commercialization.
On account of this commercialization the traditional structure of Indian educational system has undergone a complete change with the entry of private sector in the form of self finance colleges. Higher and higher bids are being made in the market of education whether it is the field of technology or computers or medicine or business. A person can seek admission in any discipline if he has a briefcase full of currency notes. Today in our country everything is available in the market of education. College as well as Universities are in private hands. Needless to say, it can be easily in gained what type of output they are providing to the society and the nation. Do we not understand that the intelligent and meritorious poor student, the son of farmer or laborers feels him self helpless to be a part of this market. The materialistic tending has killed whatever is good or virtuous in us. Wordsworth also endorses this view:
“The world is too much with us, late or soon Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers And little we see in Nature that is ours We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon“
In fact, the commercialization of education has created an unbridgeable ditch between the haves and the have not. In the quite evident that in the present day educational system based on the power of lucre, there is the place for great Indian personalities, Indian traditions, Indian thought and languages. It is an open secret that there is no scope for values like dedication, service to humanity spiritualism etc. in our educational system. In such a scenario, there may be a rich crop of doctors, engineers and other professionals, but it will be bereft of human values which are so essential for the enrichment of personality. Such a future generation will only be a burden on the nation since it will be devoid of the cardinal virtues necessary for the smooth running of society and nation. It is my proud privilege to declare that Ganjdundwara College, Ganjdundwara is making its best efforts to provide to its students the much needed value based education. I have no doubt that the college will succeed in its mission to prepare responsible citizens who will serve then nation incessantly with utmost sincerity and dedication. I also congratulate the youthful and energetic principal and the learned teachers of the college on their Endeavour to create a healthy academic environment in the college. I sincerely hope that they will carry on the good work they have done so far in creating responsible and dedicated citizens.
